Get to Know Drew

Drew Watson is an Educational Consultant specializing in Preschool and Lower School Admissions. Known for his humor, kindness, and patience in assisting clients, Drew is one of the most approachable and sought-after education professionals in New York City. He enjoys working with both parents and children and believes that a team effort is the key to navigating the admissions process. Perhaps the quality that sets Drew apart most, though, is his knowledge and skillset around connecting with and understanding kids.
 
Prior to consulting, Drew was the Associate Director of Admissions, K-4 at The Trinity School in New York for eight years. There he helped  to conduct parent interviews, family tours, child assessments, and admissions decision meetings. Before transitioning to admissions, he happily taught second grade at The Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn and kindergarten and third grade at Eanes Elementary in Austin.
 
Drew is originally from Texas and attended St. Edward’s University in Austin before completing his Master’s degree at Teachers College, Columbia University. An elite gymnast for over a decade, he is a former USA National Champion and National Team Member and previously worked as an acrobat in Cirque du Soleil. Now, Drew remains involved with the sport by serving on the Ethics and Grievances Committee for USA Gymnastics.
 
A proud Trinity parent, Drew has a daughter in lower school and a son in middle school. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exercising, interior design, spending time with his family, and doing the occasional handstand.
